Saw a movie here for the visit to this theater. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restroom was very clean. The popcorn was very good. The seats aren’t reclining but still very comfortable. I have read disparaging reviews but totally disagree! Just because a building may be older doesn’t make it bad. I will definitely go there again!
I an SO SICK of this theatre. Been coming here for years even tho there is NO air conditioning. I remember watching movies in the summer in an 85 degree room..hot as hell. Yesterday (January 2024) I watched The Iron Claw and there was NO heat. It was EASILY 50 degrees in the room. My whole group was freezing. We were shivering and I couldn't wait for the movie to be over. I will NEVER come back. Also the lights leading up to the individual rooms don't work ..no nice floors..this place is awful!
Love. Love. Love!!! The folks that work here really LOVE films and work hard to make sure that you have a great experience. They play the usual releases, but also thread through original works from local artists, or even older films that are no longer seen in your typical theater. They appreciate the craft and art of film. Think of this as a creative hub rather than a cookie cutter box office. They are really doing something special here, so head on out and show them some love!
Movie, Screen #5, “The Boys in the Boat” was GREAT! Theatre was FREEZING! Comment made to staff & reply was Landlord won’t fix, too cheap! Also, there is a huge stain on the screen that detracted from the movie.
We will be driving to Southern Pines or Cary for the movies in the future!
We went to see The Ninja Turtles. We got a theater that was air conditioned so we had a great experience. The theater we were in was clean. We went on Tuesday and it only cost $5.00 for a ticket. Popcorn was fresh and great. Got a large drink. Overall it was great. We went to see a great movie and enjoy some popcorn. I would have given them a 5 star but this place needs a big overhaul. People that work there are great, very nice and accommodating!!
Low ticket prices and family friendly. Can’t ask for much more. Hunger Games!
Spring lane cinema is a small town theater that is surviving an unfortunate purge of most film art. With the technology of streaming & everyone finding comfort being home since 2020 it’s hard for business like this to stay afloat. However, there’s something different about this establishment. It’s not just a job, a paycheck, a time filler, etc. it’s a home. A home away from home for the high schoolers- college age young adults to have a safe space to create films in this dying industry. spring lane cinemas has brought great happiness to many employees and customers that walk through that door. a family bond so strong between employees nothing could measure up. although it has its multitude of problems the potential it has with the constant help and support of this business they could be even more incredible. much love to this small town theater.
No stars!! There was no air conditioning in the theater even though we were told ahead of time there was going to be. I end up suffering a asthma attack because it was so hot and I was having trouble breathing. Luckily I had my inhaler but it was so much my inhaler could do. I had to go get a breathing treatment later on that night because I was still having difficulty breathing. I wouldnt recommend this movie theater to the stray dog with the missing leg to go to. I gave the theater a chance after chance after chance but I'm done.
